After a successful camp in 2023 we're back! Together with The Wind Seekers in Egypt we're organizing a Kite Safari with Masterclass coaching and accomodation on a yacht in the Red sea.

SA Masterclass Camp
This boat is all about progression! It doesn't matter what your level is, because everyone who joins will get a taste of the SA Masterclass experience! A big part of progression is understanding the theory behind tricks and learning from your mistakes. We invite all to join the theory and video analysis sessions provided by Steven Akkersdijk that will be spread out over the entire week.

Progression Package
Want to go a step further and receive exclusive coaching from a pro? Book the SA Masterclass Progression Package, this includes group riding and semi private coaching sessions on the water with BB talking headsets. This is the perfect way to get live feedback while riding and apply what you learn during the theory sessions! Your tricks will be filmed and used for video analysis. You’ll also get the chance to have photos taken with a professional photographer and receive the photos/videos at the end of the camp.

Accomodation
You'll be spending your time on board of a luxury yacht with A/C, private toilets, sundeck, bar restaurant and chill zone. Between kite sessions there is enough space on the boat to find a spot to read, chill or hang out. There are multiple room options and configurations available depending on your needs. One of the best features from the boat is definitely the catering, no need to cook between kite sessions or do the dishes. Simply grab a plate with the food you enjoy in the restaurant and head straight back to the beach for another session!

What do the semi private coaching sessions look like?
You'll be paired to a rider with a similar level and both of you receive a helmet with the BB talkin headset. I'll be switching the audio between the riders, so you'll only hear the tips that are meant for you. Depending on the spot I'll walk in to the water or follow with a kite.

How many hours of coaching will I receive?
Over the entire week you'll receive about 10 hours of coaching, this will include: around 2,5 hours of semi private coaching sessions, group water sessions, theory lessons and video analysis. This is more than enough to load your head with tips and exercise to practise in the freeride sessions.

What kite sizes should I bring?
Egypt offers some amazing trade winds that are very reliable. Generally you’ll see 18 to 30 knots in the areas where we are planning to go with the stronger winds during the morning dropping lower towards the evening. But as this is kiteboarding, nothing is guaranteed. We might have a strong, or low wind week. So I would suggest to check the forecast before your flight and prepare for everything.

Do I need a wetsuit?
I would suggest that you bring a 2mm shorty for the early morning sessions when you’re on the water for a longer period of time. In the afternoon I was usually riding boardshorts and a long sleeve lycra.

What about sun protection?
Even though it’s fall, the sun is still very strong! You’ll spend most of the day on the beach or water and therefor I recommend to bring a long sleeve lycra to cover yourself, a cap to hide from the sun in between sessions and water resistant sunscreen.
